A. How to Insert Image

» To add an image to your page or post, you must first insert your cursor in the place in the text where you want the image to appear. By placing your cursor within your text, you can add images inline with your content. You can also place your cursor on a blank line if you want the image to appear by itself instead.

» Once you’ve placed your cursor on the line where you want your image to appear, click on the Add Media button to launch the media uploader interface, and then select the Insert Media option from the list of actions in the left side of the media uploader window.

» You can add or select the image you want to add to your page or post by choosing from either of the following options in the center of the media uploader window:
Upload Files: Upload the image you want to use from your computer by dragging it into the upload area.
Media Library: Select from any previously uploaded images in the media library by clicking on the one you wish to add to your page or post.
Once you have selected or uploaded the image you want to add, You will see a checkbox next to the thumbnail confirming your selection, and see information about it displayed in the Attachment Details pane on the right hand side of the media uploader interface.

» The Attachment Details pane displays a small un-cropped thumbnail of the image, as well as important information such as the filename, date uploaded, and image dimensions in pixels.
There are also action links that allow you to Edit Image, which takes you to the Edit Image page, or to Delete Permanently to remove the image from your site.
In addition, you can edit the following media information:
Title:s The title of this media.
Caption: The caption for this image. The text you enter here will be displayed below the image.
Alternate Text: Enter the Alt text for the image, e.g. “The Mona Lisa” to describe the media.
Description: A description for this particular media.
For more information on these media settings, see the Edit Media page.

» The Attachment Display Settings pane controls how the image is displayed when viewed on the site.
You have options to set how you would like the image aligned on the page (in relation to the text and margins) and what the link behavior of the image will be, In addition you can set what size image you would like to display on your page.

B. Where to Log/Sign in

1. To log in to your Account / Administration Panel, type this url in your browser: http://www.yourdomainname.com/wp-admin
2. Enter your Username and Password, then click log in.

C. Creating a New Page

1. Go to Administration Panel.
2. Click Pages.
3. Click Add New.
4. Put your Content and when you’re ready with your new page, click Publish to save it.

D. Setting a Featured Image

1. Go to Administration Panel.
2. Click Pages, then click All Pages.
3. Select the page you want to have a featured image.
4. Click on Featured Image and add the image you want by uploading it to the server from your Computer or From URL.
5. Once the image is added, simply click the Use as Featured Image to set as new featured image / banner.

E. Create Custom Menus

1. Go to Administration Panel.
2. Click Appearance, Then Menus.
3. Enter Your Menu Title, Then Click Save Menu.
4. To Start Adding Menu Button, go to the Pages panel, click on any imagethat you wish to add the menu, then click Create Menu.
5. Arrange button by dragging them.
6. To make a button as a sub-menu, just drag the button to be under a button.
7. Once finish customizing your menu, click Save Menu.
8. Go to Theme Locations, select your menu as Primary Menu and then click “Save”.

F. Resetting Admin Password

1. Log in to Administration Area.
2. Click on Users, then Your Profile.
3. Enter the new password and confirm password under About Yourself section.
4. Click the Update Profile button.

G. Adding New User to your WordPress

1. Log in to your WordPress admin panel.
2. Click Users, then Add New.
3. Fill in the details and select the role which you would like to assign for the new user.
4. Click Save.

Note: You may manage the users created by clicking the Authors & Users option under the Users category.

H. Writing A Post

1. Log in to your WordPress Administration Panel (Dashboard).
2. Click the Posts tab.
3. Click the Add New Sub Tab.
4. Start filling in the blanks.
5. As needed, select a category, add tags, and make other selections from the sections below the post. Each of these sections is explained below.
6. When you are ready, click Publish.

I. Image Alignment

» The Alignment setting allows you to determine where you would like the image to appear in your content area and how it interacts with any text on the page. You have the following image alignment options to choose from:

  • Left: Aligns the image on the left hand margin, and any text that is on the page wraps (or flows) around the image to the available space on the right.
  • Right: Aligns the image on the right hand margin, and any text that is on the page wraps (or flows) around the image to the available space on the left.
  • Center: Aligns the image to the center of the page, with no text displayed around it.
  • None: Inserts the image in to the page with no alignment.

J. Adding Links to Your Blog

1. Go to Links > Add New
2. Add the name of the link to the Name Module
3. Add the blog or link URL to the Web Address Module
4. Select Blogroll in the Categories Module and click Add link

K. Adding your blogroll back into the sidebar

1. Go to Appearance, then Widgets.
2. Click on the desired Sidebar to expand.
3. Drag the links form Widgets from the available widgets area into the sidebar area on the right.

L. Using text widgets

To use the WordPress Text Widget:

  • Go to Themes > Widgets in the WordPress Administration Panels.
  • Open the sidebar, footer, or Theme section to which you wish to add the Text Widget.
  • Find the Text Widget in the list of Widgets.
  • Click and drag the Widget to the spot you wish it to appear.

To open and edit the Text Widget:

  • Click the down arrow to the right of the Text Widget title.
  • Set the Text Widget Title (optional).
  • Add the text or HTML code to the box or edit what is currently there.
  • Choose the option to Automatically add paragraphs to wrap each block of text in an HTML paragraph tag (recommended for text).
  • Click Save to save the Text Widget.
  • Click Close to close the Text Widget.
  • Switch tabs in your browser and preview the results and make changes if necessary.

M. How to create a page

To Create a Page:

  • Go to Pages > Add New
  • Fill out all needed fields such as Title and Content
  • Don’t forget to select a template for your page.
  • After everything is filled out and edited, PUBLISH your page by clicking the ‘Publish’ button located at the right sidebar or the webpage.

To view the newly created Page:

  • After publishing the page, you’ll be seeing a hyperlink below the title field. Click the link and let it take you to your published page.
  • You can continue to edit your page by going back to Pages > All Pages > ‘Your page’. Don’t forget to publish it again after the modifications.

N. How to create a post

To Create a Post:

  • Go to Posts > Add New
  • Fill out all needed fields such as Title and Content
  • Don’t forget to select a Category, Tags and Featured Image for your post.
  • After everything is filled out and edited, PUBLISH your post by clicking the ‘Publish’ button located at the right sidebar or the webpage.

To view the newly created Post:

  • After publishing the post, you’ll be seeing a hyperlink below the title field. Click the link and let it take you to your published post.
  • You can continue to edit your post by going back to Posts > All Posts > ‘Your post’. Don’t forget to publish it again after the modifications.
  • You can also locate your post in your blog page or anywhere in your webpages where you placed your blogs widget.

O. Adding Links to the Sidebar

To Add Links to the Sidebar:

  • Go to Appearance > Widgets
  • Find the sidebar widget in the list at the right side.
  • You can add link by putting the code <a href="#">text link</a> .
  • Replace the ‘#’ with the URL of the page you want to link. Change the ‘text link’ to any text you’d like your link to read as.
  • Save your changes.

To check if it works:

  • Refresh the page with the sidebar and see if the link is present.
  • Click the link to check if it opens the URL you placed.

P. How To Change Themes

To Change the Theme:

  • Go to Appearance > Themes
  • Hover over your desired theme to reveal the ACTIVATE button at the lower right corner of the thumbnail box.
  • Click Activate.

Q. How To Change your Password

To Change your Password:

  • Go to Users > Your Profile
  • Go to the ‘About Yourself’ section.
  • Type in your New Password and repeat.
  • Save by clicking UPDATE PROFILE.

R. How To Crop and Scale Images

To Crop and Scale Images:

  • Go to Media > Library
  • Select/Click the image you want to modify.
  • In the pop-up preview, below the actual image, Click ‘ Edit Image’.
  • Scale and Crop image using the tools above the image or the form at the right side.
  • After your modifications, Click SAVE.

S. How To Delete Images

To Delete Images:

  • Go to Media > Library
  • Select/Click the image you want to modify.
  • In the pop-up preview, below the form on the right side, click ‘Delete Permanently’
  • Confirm deletion by clicking ‘OK’
